Kiégések mindennapjain
bújócskát játszom,
már harminc éve.
S arcom beporosodott pórusait
ülik a megemlékezések.
Így járok tovább a dermesztő télben,
miértek hálás köszönetével.

Tudom, már csak az unokák
mondják rólunk az igazat.
Fiaink csak a fejünkhöz fogják
verni, a sóba mártott szavakat.

On days of burnout
I’ve been playing hide-and-seek
for thirty years now.
And the dusty pores of my face
are filled with remembrances.
Thus I walk on in the piercing cold winter
with grateful thanks for why-s.

I know: only the grandchildren
will tell the truth about us.
Our sons will only throw in our face
the words dipped into salt.
